What Are the Secrets To Successfully Achieving Goals? -- I am going to reveal them!

Have you ever had something you'd like to achieve or do in your life??  Perhaps you have thought "one day I'd really like to have a go at doing/achieving......", "if I achieved... it would change my life for the better!"

Have you seen other people achieve life changing goals e.g. lose an enormous amount of weight and became fit, buy a luxury car and not put themselves into massive debts at the same time, finding the ideal job with the ideal salary and ideal working conditions, or perhaps beginning their own business... and sighed!

Have you ever tried setting goals in the past but haven't successfully achieved many or any of them?

Have you ever wondered what the secrets are to successfully achieving life changing goals??

I know I have... and I know the majority of my clients have also wondered!!

I don't know about you... but I have read and absorbed many goal setting books and programs throughout my life... some have been good... many will tell you what needs be down... few tell you how to do it!

Over the last few weeks I've been creating an e-course based on all my years of knowledge and years of personal and professional experience of successfully achieving life changing goals... and it is in the final stages of development!

Within the next few days I will give you all the info about the course... at this stage I can tell you that it is a very practical e-course, and whilst it is based on lots of theory including the law of attraction, and lots of solid reasoning... it will be a very easy to follow practical e-course!

The e-course is designed to reveal many of the secrets of how to successfully achieve life changing goals, so that you can successfully achieve any life changing goal you desire to.  If others can do it... then I'm going to make sure everyone can!

Keep an eye out over the next few days for more details!

Do you have trouble achieving your goals?  If you do, click on the comment link below and let me know about your experience in achieving your goals... it's always great to hear from you!

Have you ever read a blog and thought to yourself that one day you'd like to have a blog?

Have you got information, skills, or a strong interest in a topic that you would like to share with others??

Have you family and friends scattered throughout the world that you would like to have somewhere where you could let them all know what you're up to?

Have you got a business... or are you seriously considering starting a business where a blog would come in very handy??

Are you curious to know what a blog is??

If you answered yes to any of the above questions... I have got something for you!

This time last year, I had no idea what a blog was -- I thought it was some Internet disease like a cold!  And I often wondered what the person was taking who came up with the name "blog".  Certainly not the most flattering name!

Anyway... over the last few months I quickly found out how easy and beneficial it is to have a blog.  Many people use them as part of their businesses and work... including me!

But many use blogs for nonbusiness purposes e.g. just letting others know what they are up to!

Whether you have a blog, or you think perhaps one day you will begin one, 2 women I have learnt so much from about blogging, Patsi Krakoff and Denise Wakeman (aka the Blog Squad) have released a complimentary 21 page report called "Better Business Blogging".

You'll learn lots of useful information and tips about blogging in this complimentary report... it really is worth reading!

You can download your complimentary copy now by going to Better Business Blogging

Whether you already have a blog... or think it is something you would like to do at some stage... I strongly suggest you read this free Better Business Blogging report!

Achieving Your Goals -- 5 tips from James Arthur Ray

Over the last few weeks, I've been creating a new program designed to "Get You Going From Where You Are Now in Your Life to Where You Want to Be"... this program is a step-by-step guide to achieve the changes in your life you desire.

Any changes in your life requires setting goals... making plans... and taking appropriate action towards successfully achieving your goals.

I came across a brief interview of James Arthur Ray talking about his new book "Harmonic Wealth"... in this interview, James Arthur Ray shares 5 tips to successfully achieve your goals.

James Arthur Ray is down to earth... and what makes him such a good teacher is he lives by his beliefs and he has a great sense of humour.

You can watch the video at:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldCM5tCJsCg

Here is a summary of James Arthur Ray's thoughts:

  • we are a spiritual being having a physical experience, therefore we need to do those things we find inspirational.  Most people do things because they feel they "should" rather than putting their energy into activities that really inspire them
  • it's important to specify your intentions -- describe in detail what you are going to do and when you are going to complete it.  In other words, if you want to earn more money, you need to specify what more money means to you, and when you are going to do this by.  Make your intentions, your goals, specific and measurable
  • maintain your attention.  It's easy to get distracted and put off our goals, but if you truly want to achieve something you have to keep focused on it.  Remember... energy goes where attention flows so keep your attention on what you choose to bring into your life.
  • be grateful not only to those around you and to yourself... but also to your source, to the universal energy, to your "God".  Gratitude is the most powerful magnetic force in the universe
  • be enthusiastic in your thoughts, feelings and actions
  • action is important.  Act from your outcome, in other words act as though you have already achieved your goal rather than taking action towards your goal e.g. if you want to earn $100,000 per year, ask yourself how would someone act who already is earning $100,000 a year

Here's the link to the video again:

The Power of Now: Jim Carrey's thoughts

Many people rely on their spiritual beliefs and understanding of the laws of the universe to successfully achieve what they desire in life.

Jim Carrey, a successful comedy actor, is one such person who has used his spiritual background and beliefs to achieve enormous success in his career.

I must confess... I'm not a Jim Carrey fan in terms of his acting ability.  His movies don't impress me (I'm not really into comedy)... but I am impressed with his thoughts and the way he lives by his spiritual beliefs.

In this very brief video, Jim Carrey discusses his thoughts on Eckhart Tolles philosophy and those expressed in his new  Book "A New Earth".

The power we have is in this very moment.... that is the basis of Eckhart Tolles philosophy.  Jim talks about how this applies to his life... and therefore everybody else's.

Living Every Moment

This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognised by yourself as a mighty one; the being a force of nature instead of being a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.  I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live.  I rejoice in life for its own sake.  Life is no ' brief candle' to me.  It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.

                             George Bernard Shaw

A powerful quote for a Sunday morning!

George Bernard Shaw is reminding me to live every minute of my life... to be fully engaged in all activities in my life rather than be an observer of my life.

Life is special... the activities and functions we carry out build the tapestry of how our life turns out.

We have a choice: we can either engage in activities with joy, enthusiasm and fully live life... or we can put things off or wait for others to do it all for us.

If we continue to put things off, if we continue to have the attitude "one day I will get around to doing something but right now all I want to do is not think about it or not do anything"... life will pass us by!

At times, we can feel very overloaded with all the things we want or need to do... but remember, life is short (relatively speaking)... and it is ours to experience and to create the way we want it to go.

I want to live my life and fully as I can... how about you?

Click on the comment link below and share your thoughts... I'd love to hear them!

Middle Age: 3 Tips to Survive Getting Older

It's a fact of life, each day we all get older... and another fact of getting older is that at some time in your life (if it hasn't already happened) you will get to middle age. Ooooohhhhhh Nnnoooooo!

As talked about in a previous post on Mid Life, mid life is the normal process of getting older... it usually happens at around 40 years of age and can continue for another 20 or so years.

Many people dread getting older, and reaching middle age, for all kinds of reasons:

  • many roles they've had for a number of years, e.g. children very dependent on them, are no longer appropriate and therefore vanished
  • they feel they will become a burden to others
  • their body will begin to deteriorate e.g. eyesight, aches and pains, increased risk of getting sick, lessening of strength, energy and stamina
  • they will experience aches and pains from arthritis usually associated with getting older
  • they are no longer useful
  • they will lose their memory
  • they will be seen by society, especially the younger generation, as a useless silly old "fogie"
  • that it is downhill from now on!

... and a million other reasons!

Certainly things will change in your life (particularly in your body) as you get older, but it isn't all doom and gloom.  There are many things you can do to live a fulfilling and happy life as you get older.

Here are 3 suggestions to survive getting older:

  • get involved in something away from your family: frequently as people get older they rely more on more on their family to provide all the support and stimulation they need.  Find something you are interested in... and pursue it.  Whether it is a voluntary activity you can participate in the community, or whether it is getting involved and learning about something you've always wanted to learn or do, but never had the time to do it.
  • if you are retired, or have reduced your hours or workload, it's imperative you take up or pursue an interest that will be fulfilling for you.  One of the biggest mistakes people make when going into retirement, whether by choice or by necessity (e.g. being retrenched), or cutting down working hours, is they don't plan for it.  Remember... not working full time means you have extra hours and extra energy on your hands.  When thinking about reducing your work commitments... begin planning what you are going to do instead of working long before it happens.
  • keep yourself healthy... getting older doesn't give you a ticket to sit back watching TV all day, eat what you like, not exercising.  Many people are frightened of the increased potential for getting sick,  aches and pains associated with getting older... Do yourself and your body a huge favour and keep active, have a healthy diet, don't become a couch potato...

Getting older isn't the beginning of the end of your life... getting older is a magical opportunity to begin to do the things you want to do, have always wanted to do but never had the chance to...

Take control of your life... and enjoy the journey!  It truly is a wonderful period of your life (I know, because I'm going through it now).

The choice is yours!

Let me know how you are feeling about getting older ... click on a comment link below and share your thoughts and experiences.  I'd love to hear from you!

Discovering Or Creating Yourself

The deepest secret is that life is not a process of discovery, but a process of creation.   You are not discovering yourself, but creating yourself anew.   Seek, therefore not to find out who you are, seek to determine who you want to be.

             Neale Donald Walshe...Conversations With God

This is an interesting thought... do we discover ourselves?  Or are we trying to create ourselves... create a life we desire?...

I think both discovering myself and creating myself happen, perhaps not at the same time... discovering who I am certainly affects the kind of me I'm trying to create.

Let me know what you think about this quote... click on the comment link below and share your thoughts... I'd love to hear from you.

Believe in Yourself

Having a belief in yourself is essential to successfully achieve your goals... to successfully achieve the kind of life you want to create.

It's very easy to doubt ourselves, to lose belief that we can do it, that we are capable of achieving whatever we desire.

Belief tends to dwindle, and doubts and disbelief quickly appear when we face difficulties in our life, come across obstacles in our quest to achieve our goal... when we get rejected, or nothing we do is working out the way we planned.

Many times we need to remind ourselves that we are capable... many times we need to renew our belief in ourselves and in our ability.

I came across this beautiful inspiring video just now... and I'm sharing it with you to stimulate your belief in you!

Take a look...and let me know what you think

Mother's Day: thinking and reflecting

Mother's Day is one of those very special days... ideally, it is a day dedicated to "pampering" mum.

Mums tend to be incredibly multiskilled... they run a household, often work, have meals prepared on time each mealtime, be a nurse to patch up grazed knees, be a listener, social director, have supportive arms that willingly find their way around you on a regular basis... their heart's always open and loving.

And they have eyes and ears in the back of their head and everywhere else!  They have an uncanny sense of knowing what you are up to... especially when you're up to no good!

Mums often hold the family together through good times and those not so good.

Mums are special... let's face it... not one of us would be here without some kind of input from our mum -- remember, she carried you for however many months in her womb!

Whether your mum is still very much in your life... or whether she is like mine, no longer here, it's important to give time to thinking about mum... what she represents and how your life has been shaped by mum.

If you are a mum... I hope you have a wonderful day!

Motivational Quotes: video to get you going!

An essential part of achieving any goal is to keep motivated.

And a technique to remain motivated is to read and listen to motivating people... and also to put up motivating quotes throughout your home, your work area... so you frequently see and absorb the gems of motivation.

Motivational quotes are useful and important:

  • to give us a shot of inspiration
  • to increase our positive feelings and thoughts
  • to help us keep on track
  • to boost our enthusiasm and energy
  • to increase our vibration and align it with what we want to achieve in life
  • we hear the wisdom of others
  • we feel encouraged by those who have provided the quotes

Suggestion: whenever you see a good motivational quote that resonates with you... write it down and put it in a place where you'll frequently see it.  Write down as many quotes as you can.  Believe me... you cannot get too many.

I came across this short video of motivational quotes... and I thought I would share it with you.  (The words are great... but unfortunately the music is very ordinary!  Not to worry!!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNu0g57l7RQ&feature=related

Some of my favourites, including Napoleon Hill, Brian Tracy, Albert Einstein, Jim Rohn, are on this video.

My personal favourite, which is not on this video is: Just Do It!  Thank you Nike!

Let me know what you think... click on the comment link below and share your thoughts about these quotes and others that you use.  It's always great to hear from you.
